Peak Creek Ruritan Club will sponsor a pancake breakfast and indoor yardsale from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Peak Creek Community Center in Laurel Springs. Proceeds will go to benefit the clubs of Alleghany High School and Ashe High School scholarship funds. Menu will include pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice and coffee. The North Carolina Democratic Party will hold its annual precinct organizing meeting at 7 p.m. at the Country Kitchen in Sparta.
