He was born May 28, 1955 to the late Garland Willis and Dorothy Marie Barbour Roark in Danville, Va.<br /><br />He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, G.W. and Brenda Roark of Sparta; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Marciano Martinez of Crumpler, Darlene and George Lira of Morgantown and Lisa and Antonio Gonzalez of Laurel Springs; two special friends, Donna Sumner and Rosetta Edwards, both of Galax; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.<br /><br />A memorial service was conducted Friday, March 12 at Twin County Funerals Sanctuary in Galax. Pastor Doug Combs and Evangelist David Baumgardner officiated.<br />]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Arnold Russell Mitchell, age 81, of Cleveland and formerly of Alleghany County, our beloved husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather, went to be with his Savior on Friday, March 12, 2010. You are now home where you so yearned to go. He loved his family and enjoyed the times when they all were together. He loved spending time in the mountains, which was only Alleghany County where he was born and raised. His love for enjoyment was camping, bluegrass music and spending time with friends talking about the old times. He was the son of the late Elmer and Leora Tilley Mitchell.<br /><br />He is survived by his great love of 61 years, his wife, Opal M. Mitchell of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Corinda M. and Stanley Weatherman, Lynelle Mitchell and Phillip Foster and Twana M. and Toney Campbell, all of Statesville; six grandchildren, Lyndy Davidson, Ronna Jo Stroud, Sha Weatherman, the Rev. Corey Mitchell, Drake Campbell and Tanner Campbell; five great-grandchildren, Adam Davidson, Ashton Davidson, Andrew Davidson, Hayden Stroud and Hudson Stroud; one sister and brother-in-law, Racene and John D. Hatcher of High Point; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayborn and Jean Mitchell of Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.<br /><br />Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 15 at Shiloh United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.<br />Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.<br />Grandview Memorial Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.<br />]]></description>

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Etta Hutchens Crouse; two sisters; and two brothers.<br /><br />He is survived by four children and a spouse, Jane and Bill Reynolds, Ann “Annie Belle” Crouse Cook and Nancy Crouse, all of State Road and Cecil “Bud” Crouse Jr. of North Wilkesboro; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Woodrow Crouse of Thurmond and Malhon and Ina Rae Crouse of Kernersville; a sister and brother-in-law, Ima Jean and James Chappell of Elkin; four grandchildren and a spouse, Sarah and Dale Bartley, Krista Seagraves, Calbe Gullatt and Bailee Crouse; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a very special friend and extended family, Wanda Caudill.<br /><br />Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 10 at 11 a.m. at Grass Creek United Methodist Church. He was the son of the late Lundy and Mae Sidden Absher.
