Alleghany contractors are urged to attend event

Alleghany County officials are urging local contractors and subcontractors to attend a pre-bid conference on Sept. 1 concerning a construction and renovation project at Glade Creek School. The conference will be held at the Alleghany Schools Central Office conference room at 85 Peachtree Street in Sparta at 11 a.m.

The project, valued at close to $4 million, involves a major classroom expansion, construction of a new gym and kitchen and dining areas.
