Planners suggests ordinance changes to commissioners

The Alleghany Planning Board is looking at three local ordinances with suggested changes to be presented to the Alleghany County Board of Commissioners, County Planner Travis Dalton told the commissioners Monday night.

Alleghany contractors are urged to attend event

Alleghany County officials are urging local contractors and subcontractors to attend a pre-bid conference on Sept. 1 concerning a construction and renovation project at Glade Creek School.

Parkway items are sought for museum

The members of the Blue Ridge Parkway's 75th anniversary planning committee are seeking Parkway memorabilia to be shared with the new Alleghany County Historical Museum.

Glade school work may take 1.5 years
