Memorial weekend events set

Several events are planned for this weekend, Memorial Day weekend, in Alleghany County.

Assistant superintendent resigns position May 17

Assistant Superintendent Tony Hall has tendered his resignation, according to information released to the newspaper after a closed session of the Alleghany Board of Education May 19.
