Schools approve budget proposal

The Alleghany County Board of Education approved a budget proposal during its April 13 meeting.

Operation Inasmuch event set April 24

The Alleghany Ministerium's annual Operation Inasmuch volunteer event is planned this Saturday, April 24.

County approves employees' pay changes

The Alleghany County Board of Commissioners agreed to approve a number of pay increases for county departments in recognition of merit and training.

Alleghany native is honored for heroic actions

Former Alleghany resident Bryan Irwin was recognized for heroism following an incident while he was working with the Alcohol Law Enforcement Division.

Prom Night
