Football players injured in wreck

Three Alleghany High School football players were injured in a single-vehicle accident on Nov. 7 on Glade Valley Road. All three were subseqently treated and released at area hospitals—two at Alleghany Memorial and the third at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
Injured in the Glade Valley Road wreck at 8:25 p.m. were 18-year-old Dustin Michael Billings of Sparta, the driver of a 1996 Mitsubishi, and passengers 18-year-old Martin Chey Garcia and 18-year-old Sebastian Felipe Sandoval.
The report stated that Billings was transported via Alleghany Emergency Medical Services to N.C. Baptist, where he was treated and later discharged.
