Celebrating their heritage—Leslie "Sunshine" Lane, (from left) Luella "Kicking Deer" Lane and Butch "Winterhawk" Thompson are shown at last Saturday's Native American Heritage event at Crouse Park in Sparta. Lane and Thompson helped organize the event, which was part of the county's Sesquicen-tennial celebration. In the photo below left, Terry Price wears his native regalia.
