Groce earns advertising accolades
Candice Groce, graphic designer at The Alleghany News, has been recognized for her work for the third consecutive year—winning six awards in the N.C. Press Association Best Ad Contest in the Community B Division.
In statewide competition for newspapers with a circulation of 3,500 to 10,000, Groce won first place for "Best Full Color Motor Vehicle Ad" designed for Alleghany Chevrolet; first place for "Best Real Estate Ad" designed for Don Surgeon Construction; first place for "Best Use of Full Color" designed for Grayson National Bank; and first place for "Best Advertising Campaign" also for Grayson National Bank. She also won a second place award for "Best Motor Vehicle Ad" designed for Direct Automotive and third place for the "Best Community Service Signature Page" for an ad designed for area community churches.
General Manager Ron Brown stated, "Once again Candice has raised the bar in designing creative ads designed to be effective and appealing to the eye. Her creative style helps to highlight the precise marketing focus we aim to achieve in fulfilling our clients' goals."
The awards will be presented on June 18 during the NCPA Advertising Awards Ceremony in Cary.
