Top Gun expands its ministry in area

Three years ago, a local church began Top Gun Ministries, a means to better serve their fellow man.
The men's group started with a basic training program to encourage and equip men, based on Biblical principles, to be Godly leaders in their home, workplace and community.
Today the Top Gun ministry, initiated by a small group of men at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, has expanded in terms of the number of individuals participating and the number of service efforts it provides.
What is Top Gun?
Top Gun member Steve Plummer, who came to the area from Florida where he was involved in the ministry there explained, "Top Gun is a ministry that gets men together and starts them off with the basics. First, they learn to believe that the Bible is true. They learn to read the Bible, (and) memorize scripture…"
He went on to say with additional advice honed from other books "that helps them grow spiritually every single day," participants "learn to pray and then they learn to be accountable to other brothers and they build lasting relationships with other men. Through these weeks together, something powerful happens when a group of men come together with a common focus around the person and work of Jesus Christ. It teaches us to be better husbands; it teaches us to be better fathers through scripture. As we grow together with each other, we become more honest with each other."
