Larry Taylor retires after 29 years of service with county

After working two stints with the county as an employee at the local landfill, Ashe County native and Sparta resident Larry Taylor hung up his coveralls for the last time, retiring when he turned 62.
After working for the county from January 1976 through May 1977, Taylor opted to work with his father-in-law doing construction work. A short time later, however, Taylor found himself working for the county once again because the job offered benefits that weren't otherwise available to him.
