AMH honors thrift shop volunteers

While volunteers with the Alleghany Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop were recognized last week during a dinner at the High Meadows Country Club in Roaring Gap, the announcement was made that a fund drive is underway.
The Thrift Shop, which has just completed its 18th year in operations, annually gives its profits to the hospital to be used for the purchase of needed equipment. This year, the shop brought in $37,477.
After hospital Chief Executive Officer Ralph Castillo welcomed everyone to the event, he turned the floor to George White, who serves as the chairman of the foundation board and member of the board of trustees.
Speaking of the drive, White stated, “We’re undertaking an awesome fund drive."
