Celeste Caudill (center) receives her crown from outgoing homecoming queen Leah Bugielski after being selected as Alleghany High School's 2008 Homecoming Queen. Caudill was escorted by her brother, Grant. In the photo at right, Caudill was all smiles after receiving her crown.

The night also turned out well for the Alleghany High School Trojan football team, which won a thrilling game 28-26 over the North Stokes Vikings. A full story and photos of the game appear on Page B1.
