The Sparta Teapot Museum of Craft and Design opened a new exhibit at the Preview Gallery on Main Street in Sparta Saturday. The event featured a variety of artworks from the Piedmont Craftsmen, which is celebrating it 45th anniversary. The exhibit officially opened in August, but the grand opening was an opportunity to meet some of the artists and representatives of the guild. Viewing items at the exhibit is (above) Clarence Hornsby of Glade Valley.
In the photo at left, Nancy Ridgeway of Sparta studies figurative sculpture, "Benediction and Farewell," made by ceramist Becky Gray of Burnsville. The gallery is open Thursday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
