Three treated after Prathers blaze

Three individuals were treated by Alleghany EMS after an electrical problem sparked a structure fire in the Prathers Creek area of Sparta Monday morning.

The members of the Alleghany County Board of Education, sans board member Faron Atwood, approved an interim budget resolution on June 27 for the 2008-09 fiscal year, which began July 1.
