More than 250 individuals (263) received free-of-charge dental care during a two-day dental clinic held at Alleghany High School June 6 and 7.
The clinic was held by North Carolina Missions of Mercy (NC MOM) in conjunction with Alleghany Christians Associated for Relief and Emergency Services (CARES) and Alleghany Memorial Hospital.
NC MOM, a grassroots effort, is dependent on an all-volunteer staff which receives funds through grants and donations.
Volunteers, including dentists and other dental professionals, offered free care to 263 people during a clinic held last weekend. Shown working at left is Sparta Dentist Dr. Terry Johnson.
