U.S. 21 wreck claims life

A Holly Springs woman was killed May 27 in an accident involving a dump truck on U.S. 21 near Camp Butler and Mountain View roads, according to a report by Trooper R.A. Grogan of the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Killed in the accident was Carol Jean Schoultz, 53, driver of a 2005 Jeep sport-utility vehicle.
The accident took place at around 4:50 p.m. when a northbound 1996 Chevrolet paving truck, driven by 77-year-old James Thomas Galyean of Galax, Va. swerved off the right side of U.S. 21 to avoid stopped traffic.
