Teapot preview gallery reopens

As many as 350 people attended an open house at the Sparta Teapot Museum's Preview Gallery last Saturday on Main Street in Sparta.

County hopes to open pool June 9

The Alleghany County pool is likely to open the week June 9 after a delay due to problems with the concrete that was poured as part of a refurbishment project that was completed last fall.

Class of 2008 bids fond adieu to AHS

Under a clear sky that included a beautiful setting sun, the Alleghany High School (AHS) Class of 2008, 116 strong, marched onto Woodruff Field May 23, leaving as high school graduates.
