About 150 volunteer for "Inasmuch"

More than 150 people gathered around the courthouse on Saturday morning to kickoff the county's participation in Operation Inasmuch, a mission project in which about 15 churches took part.
After singing "Amazing Grace," the Rev. John McCray with First Baptist Church of Sparta, who serves as the county coordinator for the project, welcomed the participants and read a passage from Matthew 25:31-40.
Matthew 25:40 gives the reasoning behind the service day and also provides its name. It states, in part, "…Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."
