A time change was announced for the visit of North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall to Sparta on Jan. 11.

Local roads move forward in TIP

U.S. 21 and the Sparta Western Loop both will move forward, according to information in the North Carolina Department of Transportation's Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).
