Changing Seasons

As November fades into December, the last remnants of fall color are still showing themselves in parts of the county. In these photos, taken Monday near the Alleghany County-Wilkes County line on N.C. 18. smMountain view 1 (97K)

The view off to the east shows the Blue Ridge Mountains off into the distance showing off their trademark tint, which helped give these mountains their name. While the leaf season wasn't particularly noteworthy this season, the colors are always a beauty to behold all across the county.
