Motorcyclist killed in wreck on N.C. 18 South

A 62-year-old Clemmons man lost his life in a motorcycle accident
Oct. 21 at 12:40 p.m. on N.C. 18 about seven miles south of Sparta,
according to a report filed by Trooper S.L. Roten of the N.C. Highway
Patrol.
Billy Ray Foster, driver of a 2005 Harley Davidson, was killed.
Foster was riding with 48-year-old Terry Lee Marion of Pinnacle,
driver of a 2006 Yamaha. According to the report, both men were
heading south on N.C. 18 when Foster's motorcycle overturned in a curve.
Marion applied his brakes in an attempt to avoid Foster's motorcycle.
Foster was ejected and he came to rest on the left shoulder of the road.
Marion's motorcycle overturned and came to rest on top of Foster.
Both motorcycles had been moved prior to the arrival of Trooper
Roten, the report said. No charges were listed on the report.
