Weekend events are planned

Several events are on tap for this weekend, including a 4-H Horse Show and Brinegar Days on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Horse Show

A 4-H Open Youth Horse Show will be held Friday at Alleghany Fairgrounds beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Horse Whisperer Club and the 4-H Young Riders.

The game show, with competition in three age groups was rescheduled due to inclement weather. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with registration beginning at 5:30 p.m.
