The West Walkway, a newly constructed walking track located at Glade Creek School, was cause for celebration for the Glade Creek community May 24 as a family fun health and fitness day was held at the school.
All charges were dismissed May 22 in a court case against an Alleghany County Deputy Sheriff and his estranged wife.

During the 2006-07 school year, the Alleghany County School central office saw a few new faces and positions changed as the school year progressed.
