Cora to dissolve charity, retire from full-time ministry

After decades of serving the community, Cora Neville, the namesake and director of Cora's Charities, has chosen to retire, which will ultimately result in the dissolution of the long-running charity. Neville and her team of volunteers gave away clothing, toys and home items to many in the county, as well as operating the annual Angel Tree project.

The decision to dissolve the ministry came after a recent meeting of the charity's board members. Neville said the charity's volunteers are working hard to clean up and distribute the remaining items owned by the charity. "We're doing the best we can to get everything done, but we don't have a specific timeline," she said.

At one time, Neville had items stored in 15 separate locations, but that number is now down to three. The largest location is the space at Glade Valley, which holds hundreds of boxes of various donations. Neville said the charity is no longer accepting donations, but will continue to distribute items and pack orders.
