THE SINGING CHRISTMAS TREE, which consists of members of the First
Baptist Church of Sparta and other local residents, will perform Dec.
1 through 3 at First Baptist Church of Sparta. Each performance will
be begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event are sold out, according to a
church spokesperson.

Visitors and residents alike have several Yuletide events, from the annual Choose and Cut event to the Singing Christmas Tree, to choose from to keep them busy this weekend.
Singing Christmas Tree
The Singing Christmas Tree will perform at the First Baptist Church of Sparta on Dec. 1, 2 and 3, with each performance beginning at 7 p.m. The event was sold out as of early this week, but those without tickets will be given seats if they are available after all those who have tickets are seated.
The popular singing tree performance features numerous community members who gather at the church for the three-night event, which features a cantata entitled, "Come to the Manger."
Moravian Christmas
The Laurel Ridge Moravian Camp will host a Moravian Mountain
Christmas Dec. 2 and Dec. 9 beginning at 11 a.m. The event, which is
free of charge, will be held at Higgins Lodge on Pendry Drive in
Laurel Springs. However, the camp is taking donations to cover the
cost of crafts for the Saturday event. The day will feature
activities including candle dipping, cider pressing, hay rides,
crafts for all ages and more. Other activities include festive music
in the barbershop style, sing-alongs, guitar and dulcimer
