Meanwhile, George Sheets and co-emcee Bill Joines will perform a ballad duet. Local Charlie Edwards will try his hand at performing while being backed up by the Possum Pickers, as will Donald Joines, who will perform with spoons.
One special event scheduled for this year's show will be a gong show, hosted by local "Uncle Elbert" (T.J. Worthington), judged by three county residents and featuring three local performers.
"It's going to be hilarious," Agnes Joines said of the show. Also scheduled is hillbilly fashion show performed by members of the Alleghany Jubilee Red Hatters.
"We're going to portray characters including Calamity Jane and Gypsy Rosalee," Joines said.
Joines advises, "Come hungry and ready to laugh."
