A request has been made to calendar non-jury matters in the case of the children of the late Susan Mimbs Billings versus Thomas Billings, a former Alleghany resident who currently resides in Galax, Va. Meanwhile, Billings has filed an answer, counterclaim and motion for sanctions in connection to the civil case.
A request for a hearing in regards to the answer and counterclaim is
scheduled for Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. "or as soon thereafter as the matter
can be heard," according to the notice of hearing document filed Oct. 2.
In Billings' answer, he offered nine defenses. The document also
includes three counterclaims and a motion for sanctions.
