The July meeting of the Alleghany County Board of Education, originally scheduled for July 5, has tentatively been rescheduled for July 17 at 5 p.m., according to Chairman Charles Joines. Joines stated the meeting was postponed "due to not having any pressing business to discuss."
Joines noted the school board typically has two meetings during the
month of July, the second to discuss and approve the hiring of
employees. He stated like years prior, the initial meeting was
cancelled.
