High school rodeo - In the photo at right, Matt Croom qualifies for the nationals after last week's North Carolina High School Rodeo Championships. Croom, from Sparta, rode for the full eight seconds on both Thursday and Friday nights and will represent North Carolina in the national finals.
The high school championships were held last Thursday, Friday and Saturday
at the Justice Carlisle Higgins Agricultural Fairgrounds in Sparta.
