The Alleghany Wellness Center held its second birthday celebration on March 11. The event included a community rummage sale, dedication of a new sand volleyball court, a magic show, a bake sale and a poor mans lunch.
Present at the volleyball court dedication (above right) were several local officials of both the town and county. The Alleghany High School Lady Trojan volleyball team preformed a scrimmage game after the dedication. The court was the brainchild of Hannah Smith (center of the top photo, with flower) an AHS senior and volleyball team member who built the court as a senior project.
