With less than a week of filing remaining, two of three incumbents have filed for re-election on the Alleghany County Board of Education.
The first week of the 39th-annual WCOK (1060 AM) Heart Auction got off to a strong start on Saturday, raising $7,401 in sales and donations, said Virginia Setzer, spokesperson for the auction.
