Two Galax, Va. men were killed in this Lincoln after a tractor-trailer
jackknifed into its lane, leading the rear wheels of the truck to
collide with the front of the car. Killed were Gregorio Lugo Martinez,
53, and Eleazar Hernandez, 18. A third passenger in the car, Geremias
Rodriguez, survived. Charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle in the
accident was 54-year-old truck driver Anthony Louis Harvey of Charlotte.

Two Galax, Va. men were killed and one was injured when a car and a tractor trailer collided on N.C. 18 on Nov. 15 at 4:40 p.m., according to a report by Trooper S.R. Grizzell of the N.C. Highway Patrol. Killed at the scene was Gregorio Lugo Martinez, 53, driver of a 1989 Lincoln. Martinez did not have a driver’s license, according to the report.
The second man to die was Eleazar Hernandez, who would have turned 19 on Nov. 18. Hernandez was listed in critical condition at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center on Friday, but died overnight.
