Caudill uses artwork to raise funds

Lisa Caudill, an Alleghany residents who formerly lived in Louisiana, recently made a contribution to the hurricane relief effort by expressing her emotions surrounding the hurricane devastation through her painting. Caudill’s first painting, Katrina’s Victims, sold on Ebay for $127.50 after being viewed a total of 1,150 times.

“I used to live in Louisiana,” Caudill said. “We (she and her parents) lived there for about five years. One year, we had to go through four hurricanes, Juan being one of them, which destroyed the historic town (of Lockport). We saw a lot of our friends and neighbors lose everything from that hurricane.
