The Mountain Heritage Festival was a big success this year, with higher attendance and more participation, said Executive Director Bob Bamberg of the Alleghany Chamber of Commerce.
Bamberg said he couldn’t give an estimate of the crowd due to the very nature of the festival, which offers heritage displays, craft and food sales and entertainment spread all along the central Main Street corridor.
