Since Kevin Harlan resigned as chief executive officer of Alleghany Memorial Hospital, the board has been actively seeking a replacement. Harlan’s last day of work was Aug. 26.
In the meantime, Chief Financial Officer Ralph Castillo has been appointed interim administrator and is applying to take over Harlan’s position. Castillo is one of three final candidates for the position, he said Tuesday.
“It’s a very busy time because I’m wearing both hats right now and the end of the (fiscal) year is always so busy for finance,” Castillo said during the brief interview.
The board of AMH is conducting a search in tandum with the hospital’s
management firm, QHR (formerly Quorum), to find a new CEO.
