New county office building to open in October, manager says

Alleghany County’s new office complex is nearing completion, but the move of numerous county employees has been postponed until October.

A former Alleghany County Sheriff’s Deputy, Ricky James Lyall, was indicted on 15 federal charges by a grand jury in Charlotte on Aug. 24.
