Lois Edwards took home the top two ribbons after The Alleghany Quilters Guild’s Annual Quilt Show last Friday and Saturday in the Emerson Black Building at the Alleghany County Fairgrounds.
Edwards not only won Best of Show as voted on by the viewers of the event, she also won Best of Show as voted on by the guild members for her “Bargello in the Round” entry. A total of 78 quilts were entered (to be judged), a number that doesn’t reflect the quilts on display in the antique section. have,” Mathis said. “We also had a lot of participants who live outside
Alleghany County.
