Teapot architects talk with town

Representatives for the Sparta Teapot Museum were on hand July 5 to introduce members of Jenkins Peer Architects to members of the Sparta Town Council during its regular monthly meeting.

The Charlotte-based firm was selected to design the proposed Sparta Teapot Museum on West Whitehead Street (N.C. 18 South) from a pool of 30 applicants, according to Patrick Woodie, director of New River Community Partners (NRCP). NRCP is the parent organization for the teapot project.

Speaking of the process to select an architect, Woodie explained, “We went through a pretty intense process of narrowing (the field of architectural applicants) down and inviting them in for interviews. We started out with a pretty tall order, but when it was all said and done, this firm of Jenkins Peer made our job very easy.
