Susan Billings’ hopes realized with Dearhaven opening

Susan Billings’ legacy lives on and the dream of DearHaven Therapeutic Riding Center, which she shared with her husband Tommy, has become a reality. The grand opening of DearHaven and the dedication of the Susan McCarthy Billings Arena took place last Saturday, attended by a crowd of about 800.

Frances Huber, a member of the board at DearHaven, presented framed certificates of appreciation to those who promoted the center, aided by Billings and volunteer Page Richardson.

Huber later commented that she was “thrilled to see all of those who came out to support us and celebrate with us.
