S.C. woman hired at cooperative extension

Alleghany County’s Cooperative Extension Office recently added a new agent and is at full staffing levels for the first time in several years.

Family and Consumer Sciences Agent Sherrie Peeler started work at the office on April 1.

Peeler hails from Starr, S.C., where she owned and operated a dairy farm, named Milky Way farm, for the past 28 years. The farm had 125 registered Jerseys, Peeler said.
