Snowfall totals of up to 10 inches were reported in Alleghany County beginning Sunday night and continuing through presstime Tuesday, with even more snow possible.

According to Andy Wright, station manager at WCOK, a local reporting agency for the National Weather Service, snowfall totals varied at different locations in the county. Wright said Mack Edwards in Ennice called the station to report 9.5 inches of snow as of Tuesday.
