As lions, tigers and bears, as well as fictional characters, get ready to head to local businesses and homes Friday, parents are reminded of the different activities that are available for youngsters through the weekend.
Per a proclamation passed by the Sparta Town Council during its monthly meeting on Oct. 5, trick or treat night is being celebrated on Friday, Oct. 29. All children are urged to complete their trick or treating by 9 p.m.
No Tricks, Just Treats
On that same night, the second annual ‘No Tricks, Just Treats Night’
will be held on Oct. 29 from 4 until 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Sparta
Revitalization Committee and the Alleghany County Chamber of Commerce,
the event allows children to dress in costume and visit the 30-participating businesses.
