A local version of the National Life Chain will be visiting Sparta again on Sunday, Oct. 3.
The event will begin at 2:30 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.
The annual event is typically held along one side of Main Street in Sparta, beginning near the former Cash and Carry Building and extending northward along Main Street.
Participants are urged to stand in silent protest of abortion, holding signs with messages such as “Abortion Kills Children,” and “Lord, Forgive us and Our Nation.”
Those wishing to participate in the event are asked to arrive by 2:15 p.m. to pick up signs in the Main Street parking lot of the First Baptist Church in Sparta.
For more information on the event, contact Marie Carlson at 657-8013.
