Long-time councilman George Mack Irwin receives a key to the town and a
resolution of appreciation for his years of service from Mayor John
Miller and council member Agnes Joines. The mayor and Joines took the
items to Irwin on May 17, acting on behalf of the entire council and
the town. Irwin, who served on council from March of 1967 until 2003,
missing only one term on the non-partisan council during that period.
