Parade of Presidents

Piney Creek Elementary School held a special celebration for Presidents' Day in which each student portrayed or gave information about one of the nation's presidents. Following the presentation, the students enjoyed an ice cream social in the school's multi-purpose room. right are (from left) Kelcie Miller (James Garfield), Ethan Mash (Rutherford B. Hayes), Diane Henderson (Ulysses S. Grant), Britnie Church (Andrew Johnson) and Hunter Greene (Abraham Lincoln).

In the photo at left, Howie Cox is shown dressed in period clothing as part of his portrayal of George Washington, down to a white wig, similar to ones that were popular for men in Washington's day.
