Local band Exit Up has message

What started out as a local church youth group has evolved into a traveling contemporary Christian music show.

Exit Up, a group of local youths all once or currently members of Sparta First Baptist Church Solid Rock Youth Group, is headed up by vocalist and guitarist Brian Galyean.

While the group, which has been performing for about a year, has its roots at the church and some members in common with the Baptist church's other music group Crossties, it is a separate entity, said Galyean.
