The Alleghany County Board of Commissioners heard an update from Cliff Phillips, the local representative on the Senior Tarheel Legislature, during an unusually brief meeting Monday.
The meeting was originally scheduled for July 7, but was postponed
until Monday. The meeting was over by around 7 p.m., a near-record for
the board.
