Cora Neville, the 68-year-old proprietor of Alleghany County's main ‘no-charge' charity, stands with a clipboard to welcome the woman with a kind smile. Each day, vehicles pull in to the former Glade Valley School building, leaving behind sundry items like clothing of all sizes, small kitchen appliances and other items too numerous to mention.
All the items must be sorted into boxes by size, type and function — a
monumental task that this senior has taken on.
