The Northwest Alliance Program for the Rural Carolinas is looking for participants in its regional marketing initiative.
The alliance will soon select eight to 12 agricultural and/or artisan producers from Alleghany, Ashe and Wilkes counties. "We’re looking for indigenous hand-made or hand-grown products," said Melanie Young, the Northwest Alliance's project coordinator. "They need to be representative of the area."
The alliance will provide marketing help and business planning services
to those selected.
